Good Ole Wilkes....

So, 53 people were convicted of certain types of drug charges in my county.  I read this entire article and one part actually made sense to me.  I've seen some cases like this actully.  The way the U.S is now...compared to how it used to be... well lets just say over half of our jobs are no more.  How do you maintain life with no income?  how do you maintain life with no income or little income with dependents?

People do what they have to do to get by... if they sell their pills (last resort) to feed their kids would you consider it to be chargeable or a bad thing ?  You also have to think ...the people they're selling their pills to isn't being helped either.

we all have a past and our own story, but that doesnt mean we can't choose a different path.  How are YOUR morals? ethics ?  this matters most !!!!!

it's a shame America is coming to this... but we CANNOT judge people like this if we aren't helping them.  really think about that.

i'm going to pull a couple of these photos and tell you the first things that pop in my head...

Cox - 35 years old.  My first perception is this guy has been offered help before.  We all know those kind that we cannot help unless they're willing to help themselves.  I actually know this guy from the late 90s... He is  still doing the same thing he was then.  Also look at his weight... thats the first thing... hes addicted to something harder or he's really focused on this life style.  Even if our perception isn't the best... always lend a hand until your decision making goes to crap

Mathis- 61 years old.  Does she look like someone who is having a hard time quitting an addiction ? does she look like shes  fallen victim to the shitty system... she is in trouble for selling marajuana...

My thoughts on marajuana ... simple... Alcohol is much much worse and actually kills 100% more people than marajuana.

Being charged with marajuana... lets think about this... does it really hurt people ?  does it kill people ?  the only thing this is doing for her is making things harder...

if she cannot afford this charge or it somehow changes her life (very possible)... what will happen ?

there are many many more people out there that play the system and get by without trying  to help themselves, but there are also many many others that are just in a rough spot and need love or attention...

you figure out which one, but remember not to judge.

  1. I think the way you are looking at this kind of situation, is the right way. It is a very hard situation to make or to draw a conclusion to, but me personally would say, some people do sell the pills soley to pay their bills and feed their children, since losing jobs. Others, may be selling them just to make extra money, but I would deem that as more rare, if you really beging to analyze the unemployment rates and demographics affected the most. You are also right in that we ALL have a past, mine is so bad, it makes me cringe to think about it, however, I cannot take it back, nor change it, so I have to learn from the mistakes that I made, in hopes of becoming a better man, for the common good and purpose of life.

  2. A lot of people also, turn to pain pills and other drugs, to hide emotional pain, when they need for someone to step in and help them, if they are too ashamed to seek it for themselves. They hide the emotional pain, then it also causes a physical dependency, which is a losing battle, or is it?
