I'm in my last class for the transition course and ill soon be taking that long glorious four hour drive back to my home county. I wonder what I will think about on the way home... the decisions i've made, what i've accomplished, how much i've grown... not to mention the feeling i'll have knowing that certain things are over, that certain things that I used to hate are behind me and that i'll no longer have to deal with them. It feels surreal almost, the things i've known/done for the past eight years aren't in the books anymore. I know the change and the transition will surely be difficult, but I have the right guidance and contacts to make this smooth.
not too much longer ! see you guys soon
also....
if anyone reading this is on the MSG program, please hit me up and i'll talk to you about the checkout process and the requirements you'll have to meet.

My Journey Pt 3 - Malaysia "Truly Asia"
My ohhhhh my.... where do I even begin.
First off I want to let all my dive buddies know that you will not be in this one. I'm saving my diving adventures with you guys for another post.
Malaysia is by far my favorite country that i've visited. There are so many great things about this country, so many that I honestly cannot explain. The vibe from the locals is so warm and welcoming... and thats quite hard to understand because Malaysia is a melting pot, so to speak. You don't need a visa to enter the country, so there is diversity. It took me a while to figure out who were malaysians, who were indians, who were "malays'... the learning experience there overall was just amazing. I can honestly say that I would move there if I could land a good jurrrb.... "Monkees - AHEM"
Their way of living is a pace that I'm comfortable with, its so busy, but yet it isn't at the same time. The only thing about Malaysia that I had a hard time getting used to was the weather. I love the four seasons and my favorite is the fall, but Malaysia is hot and humid pretty much all year...annnnd they have some pretty impressive storms.
I don't want to make this too long because I have a ton of pictures, but I hope you can get a better understanding of what Malaysia is like.
Friends from Malaysia - Living in your country for a year was truly the best experience of my life.. i'll be seeing you all again !
one other thing... I traveled to China, Indonesia, Malacca- Malaysia and Tioman Island- Malaysia... these are going to be in another posting.

This is the KLCC Pertronas towers... this is Malaysia's famous landmark. These are still to this day, the tallest twin buildings in the world. This first one is a picture I took when Thomas and I were grabbing some food.

One of our favorite things to do in Malaysia... Batik painting. We spent A LOT !!!! of time creating works of art as seen below. This was a typical saturday / sunday... going for a snack, then painting, then lunch, maybe shopping, then dinner
This is the lovely ladies the owned the painting shop
This is what our table typically looked like
Meet Megan ... she also has some skills
"Vera also has some skills, but I dont have a photo"
I often found myself bugging Pin while she was at work
This was the day that I left for my scuba diving trip to Indonesia.
Our local guards were the best ! breaking some bread with these fine gentlemen
well Tanderon (?) chicken and Naan
This is how the Naan is made... they will flatten out some dough, put somce cheese / spices or whatever, then nead it some, then flatten again and slap to the side of the pit. Once its finished you will wrap around the chicken or just dip in the sause of your choice.
Here is the chicken
and you can also get some good coffee
This is how I drank mine at work
We found out where rubber comes from...
rubber trees (Phillip taking his photos)
